Chemmanur International Jewellers
This was started in 1863 at Varanthirappilly in Thrissur district of Kerala, Chemmanur International Jewellers. The Group has its own gold manufacturing unit with craftsmen from all over the country who help make some of the best designs. This has also allowed the group to help reduce the “making cost” of the jewellery considerably and thus provide customers further value and satisfaction for their money. As of today Chemmanur International Jewellers Group is an acclaimed brand acknowledged worldwide.
Chemmanur Credits & Investments Limited (CCIL)
In the year 2011 the group entered in to the field of Financial Services by opening branches of Chemmanur Credits and Investments Ltd. This Company provides necessary financial support to the poor and needy through their 131 branches located in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The company has a 24 x7 branch in their corporate office at Thrissur, which was the first of its kind in the world. With an aim to empower women, CCIL started lending under Microfinance scheme in 2013. This division now has a customer base of 50,000 women from extremely poor and marginalized backgrounds.
Boby Bazaar
Boby Bazaar is the outcome of Dr. Bobby Chemmanur’s fascinating dream. It was conceptualized as a golden dream for eradicating the poverty in the society. Boby Bazaar is a chain of retail supermarkets in India. As part of this project the Group planned to open a Boby Bazaar in every state in India. Through this project Dr. Boby aims to achieve the cause of women empowerment in India. The concept of CWP (Chemmanur Women Partners) is an innovative notion of Dr. Boby Chemmanur in Boby Bazaar Project. It is an initiative to engender a sustainable, long-term women’s empowerment program of converting uneducated and unskilled women to Boby Bazaar hypermarket partners by providing complete range of training sessions in marketing, sales, technical knowledge, product training, financial support and personality development classes by experts.
